Clutch Problem

I just had my clutch modified by an outfit, who at this point will remain nameless. They claimed that their work would give me an underdrive and an overdrive, like having two extra gears. Every thing seemed fine on flat ground it seemed a little quicker. As soon as I took it offroad and attempted to climb my 1st hill the clutch slipped like crazy. I took it back to the place that did the work and they said that I had a flat spot on the belt and replaced it and charged me half price for a replacement belt. I took it out again today and the 1st hill I attempted to climb the belt started slipping again. I was in low gear and locked up. Any ideas what might be causing that would be appreciated. I called the outfit that did the work and they said to bring it back and they would look at it again, but needless to say I am a little nervous.

I believe I would try to get my money back, and or get a new clutch. You would be better off buying one of the bolt up kits ( dalton, EPI ) first, than to have someone maching on your clutch sheaves.
There are people out there that can do maching correctly, your better off getting on here and getting some referrals.

I hesitate to name the outfit because I don't want to give them a bad rep. They seem to be doing the right thing. Since my original post they have agreed to put my Teryx back to stock (new clutch) and refund all my money. In addition to that, the owner even offered to loan me his fully modified Rhino while mine was being fixed.

I am just curios how they would accomplish the over and underdrive.

Lord knows we have stepped on our pecker a bunch and fouled things up. What makes the difference how they responded and fixed and it seems they have done you right.
