HW Rhino outruns modded Teryx!!

I can't help but to share this with you guys. I raced today in the last race of the season at Durhamtown and one of the guys in my class which is 0-750cc modified had a Teryx with the following on it.

AFE intake
Dynatek CDI
Dragonfire Dual Exhaust (AC Racing)
EPI clutch kit.

Remember I race a Rhino, bone stock engine with the following mods.

MSD igntion/fuel controller, HW fuel curve, machined sheave and Muzzy exhaust.

Why a rhino you ask? Because I had it first and have already spent so much time and money on it to change.

The driver and I are friends, he actually has his own series called TG Challenge. We were doing what boys do and he said, take a look at the front of that Teryx it is the last time you will see it from now on it will only be the rear.

Because of a bad start by the guy in front of me I got a bad start but after the first turn, I passed this Teyrx so easily in the straight away and actually waved bye to him as his co-driver and myself laughed.

Guess what? He said after the race he is going to give me a call this week and check into a Dalton Clutch, HW carb kit and a Muzzy exhaust.

By the way he didn't finish, he had clutch issues maybe or maybe not related to the brand of clutch.

My "opinion" is his intake and exhaust was hurting him.

This is not about me being right, it is about making sure you get parts that work and work right together.

Oh man, I hope this doesn't get leaked over on the Rhino boards!!!! Fix his T-rex up right, then he'll blow you away and you can re-post the results

I thought the RZRs ran up in the 60 MPH without any mods. Were these RZR S? Like I said before a stock Rhino blew me away from the start until I got closer to top speed. Very disappointing. I now have a Dynatech CDI and wonder what the results will be.

Stock RZR's do run near 60 and there were two RZR's. The winner had one. My Rhino now runs 60 down a slight grade and 56 back up it.

Let me get this straight, your finely tuned race Rhino out ran an untuned, not properly clutched, not properly jetted or exhausted Teryx. You are defintely the man!

j/k sounds like you taught him a lesson to show up with the proper add ons for the Teryx. Way to school him.

Actually I ran down the Teryx and eight RZR's and two of those were RZR S models.

The point on the Teryx was, if you don't buy products that work right or even together then a slow ole Rhino will out run you LOL.

I have not raced my Rhino against our Teryx. I figure the Teryx might outrun it in a drag race but not in handling but the Teryx is stock and the Rhino is not on that.

Hunterworks,
Are you running a snowmobile clutch in your rhino? The reason I ask is that I have a friend who has this setup on his 06 rhino and he is fast as hell. Pulls 60 mph really quick on fllat ground. He has only bolt on mods as well as I do on my 08 Teryx. He can't run away from the Teryx but they are about dead even.Your thoughts!
