Plenum Design

After reading the FST 840 tuning thread, I was wondering if there is a possibility that the front cylinder is starving the rear cylinder of air? Thus, requiring the front cylinder to be jetted differently than the rear.

What if a plenum was fabricated so that the front carb. recieved a seperate supply of air in relation to the rear carb?

Would this enable both cylinders to run closer to one another?

Good idea or Bad Idea? Any feedback?

ah, they're attempting to split the incoming air to get more to the rear cylinder...

I've often wondered about a seperate feed for each cylinder, but have not had time to pursue it. Also thinking about a new plenum design, but really short on room to work in that center console.

Well I don't think I would do one in cast because it would be very heavy, but I can have them built for $200,how many do you want?

I dont see why the Muzzy plenum would not work on a 08. I dont think it would be a fit issue as I have herd of poeple putting the stock 09 plenums on a 08. It shouldn't cause any carb issues. Whos going to be the first to test it out?

from Muzzy:
The MUZZY Plenum was designed for bored out Brute Force and MUZZY Billet throttle body's. I do not expect there to be much gain on stock carbs or throttle body's. The performance on FCR 39/40 should be the same as open velocity stacks, but better air filter options. On our 916 with our 46mm throttle body's there is no hp loss over open velocity stacks.
