clutch ?

What is the difference in the aftermarket clutch kits, and covers. Is there one better for trail riding and low to mid range? Can you easily change if you upgrade engine mods?

I have the vforce john clutch mod going to add the dalton clutch kit when I do my engine kit. The dalton kit is the only clutch kit to use it is fully adjustable to what ever tires or any other mods you might do, as for as the cover or od plate it is just some milling done on the cap to allow the belt to run up the pulley a little more allowing you to gain about 3-4 mph on the top speed assumeing that you have replaced the cdi removing the speed limit and raising the rpm limit to allow the increase in top speed

What is the vforcejohn mod. and is it for speed? Do you need it on a stock engine? I understand the Dalton kit changes the shift points and is adj. right?

The VFJ is mostly cutting the angles on the sheave surfaces. It is mostly for top end but some say they get some low and mid out of it.

I personally have no experience with it but others seem satisfied.

Only issue I have is if you do any engine mods you still have to get a clutch kit.

Lots of people are very happy with Dalton kit and a over drive plate

your best bet is to determine exactly what your engine mods are going to be, or are, and let vfj know, he will clutch it exactly where your motor makes the most hp.

VFJ! Don't wast your money on anything else till you do the clutch mod. I can spin 27 tires on black top in high. Will pull the front end off the ground in low. Lets see a Dalton kit do that?
