PCV valve on breather hose????

I have not tried this but has anyone tried a PCV valve on the breather tube to see if it helped with the oil issue in the plenum?

I don't see why it would not help cause it should not allow air to be sucked back in the breather tube.

Me neither but figured there are a lot of smart people on here that may have tried it before me.

Anyone tried it?

a PCV system in automotive applications draws air and oil back through the engine to reduce emissions. It is "manifold vacuum" (or full vaccum at idle, low vacuum at full throttle) PCV was never really meant to eliminate oil being burned, just to keep it from polluting our great nation.

Our breather hose on the Teryx is "ported" vacuum or above the throttle plates so it draws most air at wide open throttle and next to none at idle (exactly opposite of PCV)

I think the STOP kit or similar design is the best thing available right now.

Just my 2 cents

My theory was air would come out of the engine but not be sucked back in, the PCV would act as a check valve of sorts

KDS Racing makes a excavation valve at least I think that is what they call it to keep air from going back in the case.

Gotcha on the KDS valve, that might work really well with your perforated breather tube.

So when is someone going to ask about using a FBG vacuum pump (or similar, sized for our electrical system)?

Better yet, when is someone gonna try to use one? I'm thinking somone with a dyno needs to hook one up to the valve covers and see if the oil stops puking in to the plenum.

I have motorcycle fuel tank billett breathers on my fuel tank line and oil line, if your talking about the two hoses that were plugged into the stock cage, I just didnt want dirt sand or water getting in when I changed the cage and had no where to put them, but I need to order the stop kit, and the air cleaner fix, I took off my k&n and every thing was still clean except all the grease I put on the foam for a seal, but I still want to change it.

I'm talking about the breather tube from engine to air box.
