the dreaded popping at idle

hey guys, have an 08 with a DFR cdi, uni filter on billet adapter, dasa rings, jet kit and muzzy's. i have run this combo for about a year now with no problems. last dune trip about two days in, car got hard to start and wouldnt idle at all. got home to look things over, found the vent case breather tube had come off the plenum somehow. took it all apart, new uni filter and cleaned plenum, carbs, changed oil. only a small amount of "dusting" inside plenum and on carb throats.

still wouldnt start so did the valves.....twice. too loose first time cuz i could hear em, second time think theyre good. started right up.

car still wouldnt idle. took to a local shop who has a dyno. he ran it and re-did the jetting. car idles now, but pops out of the air filter, sometimes bad enuff to kill it. does it intermittently at random.

now my questions. is the dragonfire cdi just a dynateck with their sticker on it? do you think the dyna coils would fix my issues? to the motor gurus, does it sound like i have bigger problems related to sand getting in the motor? doesnt feel like im down on power at all. dyned at 33hp when i took it in, 36hp when it came out.

sorry for the long post, just want all facts out there. thx guys

The DFR is a Dynatek and doubt the coils will fix it.

You still either have a valve adjustment issue or jetting issue more like a fuel mixture issue.

Your welcome but some things are hard to diagnose over the net.
