Muzzy or Muzzy Pro

wondering what the big difference is between the two, besides equal length headers, and they are more for hopped up bored engines, but want to know the hp gains if the pro is worth it or the standard muzzy, anyone out there selling a standard in good shape and a good price let me know, if the standard is the way to go over the pro system.

Todd

Just an FYI... we are running a stock 2010 with Pro and MSD and no issues it runs like a champ, this way we are ready for future upgrades.

get the pro...if you ever get rid of it for some reason the pro will sell easier. its gonna run great either way but the pros not gonna hurt.

Whew, if anyone has been around since Muzzy started making pipes for these kawasaki v-twins then you'd see a pretty much constant pattern. They make a standard pipe and then they make a pro pipe. The pro pipe ends up being better for ALL the different builds stock to wild and they phase out the standard and just sell the pro.

In other words go with the pro... it will be better than the standard even on a stock machine.

Few guys mentioned on here and I can't remember who but I think they said the standard is better for the standard bore or stock engine, you can use the pro on the stock engines but figured it lost some bottom end torque with it. Probably better for high rpms. Also, someone said that they figured the pro was quieter than the standard Muzzy. I am sure whoever knows for sure will chime in here.

RMuzzy says the pro is a little quieter because it has bigger diameter pipes. I just put mine on yesterday and had been concerned about the db the whole time on the count of my kids. I have the whispers to put in still but started it and was really relieved! It sounds great as is......maybe a barely too loud for kids....maybe. But not obnoxious at all. I'm sayin with the whispers in I have definately made the right choice. Muzzy also said with whispers...more midrange....no not any loss of top end as compared to without the whispers. Thats assuming you have stock carbs or I gues injectors as well because the carbs limit the top end before the pro pipe does. By yours from Four stroke tech. A++++ to deal with and the pro is the same price as standard so I think that should make your decision for you. $750 shipped.

I have the standard bought it before the pro came out, had both been available I would have bought the pro because I am doing engine kit but I did read on a post when the pro first came out that on a stock car the standard dynoed like 1 hp more at a certian rpm, but again I would go with pro for future mods
