K2 Intake

I have been working on this for several months and we finally are starting to make some headway. Here is a short video of the Teryx fresh air intake I designed based on the original intake. The mold is now being fabricated and I hope to have these in the near future. I'll try to keep everyone posted as to our progress so don't go postal on me about production dates as I don't even have the mold done yet and I'm sure there will be some hiccups along the way.

Would the opening be as big or bigger (volume) than a 3" pipe?

Assuming that your talking about the ID of the pipe then a 3" pipe would give you roughly 7.06" of area to flow air. If you are talking about a 3" OD pipe then the interior ID would be roughly 2.75 so the area would be even less. The area of the intake is roughly 10.45" so "yes" the opening would be larger.
