ive got a miss on my 840 and i though it was a dirty air filter problem.....it will run perfect at half and less throttle and then anything over it will have an intermediant miss...like baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa ba ba baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa ba ba like its starting to run out of gas.....i cleaned and oiled the filter and it seemed better but still missing.what could it be?im so tired of working on this junk im about ready to give it away...and buy a new and leave it alone.ive checked all the carb boots and found nothing leaking....any ideas...?is there any tuners i can take this junk to and get it fixed before i crush it?close to eastern ky.

Is your fuel pump keeping up? IE does it sound like is starving after 5 -10 seconds at full throttle?

thats exactly what it seems like but it just now started to do this...i have 300 miles on it now.any suggestions on what to do?also if you go to youtube and watch fundys race 800 dragrace where he circles around and then stages and then goes to full throttle..it will miss after full throttle and then run like a bat out of hell...mine does this smae thing now and before it didnt.

both....is there any chance its in the carbs or what?is there any thing in gthe carebs that i couyld check that could be hindering the problems im having?it seems like the rear cylinder is the problem and i cant figure out whats wrong...what could possibley be wrong and cause my ride to get worse when i havent changed a thing?today i rode it and it seems like its down big time in power...and miising to beat hell.i cant understND IT And im ready to hold it to the floor and let it blow so maybe i can figure out whats the problem is.it really seems like its a fuel problem but im not sure..any ideas on ehat to check?

You're loading up... that baaa ba ba ba baaaaa noise you're hearing is it running rich.

You would need to lean it back out by dropping the needle...

Did you check the CDI??? Try the stocker and see what happens.

shan you are absolutely right...i dropped the needle and it is 200% better...its runs good right now but i believe theres more..i think i need to drop the mains down one size each.
