Muzzy tension springs

Hey guys!!

I just installed a set of Muzzy's on my 09 Teryx. I bought these used, the previous owner had the header wrap on them. I can imagine this is why the tension springs are stretched (due to the wrap holding the heat in). I was wondering if these are even necessary on this machine. The system is nice and tight and solid. If anything I was thinking of putting some stainless wire on there instead of my stretched springs. I only had it there idling and pulsing the throttle and the rattle from the springs was getting on my nerves already. Any thoughts here???

I would run the springs they are designed to keep constant pressure on the joints but at the same time allowing movement, I don't really understand why they are rattling maybe you need some new springs, I also don't understand why the wrap would have affected the springs, but you deffintely need the springs

The wrap will hold the heat in the headers, the springs are under the wrap and probably getting alot hotter than they would be if they were exposed to fresh air flow. The springs are stretched bad and barely hold to the loops, you can tell they were overheated.

OK I see now my friend wraped his but he wraped it and then put the springs on after the wrap like notched out for the springs, if I were you I would call muzzy and get some more springs, I heard a guy the other day had bought a muzzy and didn't get some of the springs and I think he got them from Muzzy they didn't cost much. I ran my Muzzy for a while took it off and sold them my springs were still like new but I didn't wrap mine.

Springs should be outside of the rap. They are available from MUZZYS.

Nah man no worries Jeremy lol I was just curious how important they are. with the kickass strong bracketry and all the different angles in there I don't really think they are necessary. I will be running it for a bit with all the plastcs off to get the PCV and auto tune set up so I will access the system after a few rides.

The Teryx may not see alot of seat time for a bit, everything is wet as hell up here so I will be doing my cage and goodie build sooner than I thought.
