K & n

Are K& N's okay to run on a 2010 Terxy with Muzzy and MSD, and if so where is the best place to find one?

Big debate but most people have figured out they are not good at all and I know for a fact with our dyno no matter what filter you have it will not change the HP output.

We sell UNI and also have a billet adapter for a the clamp on style to stop dust issues

Take a look at pics

I second that. I would never run a K & N on anything in a dusty enviroment. Go with a UNI or stick with stock.

Ya don't use a k&n any where except on the street where there isn't any real dirt to filter out. Many excuses, didn't oil right, no outer wear, sun was behind a cloud, etc, etc, etc. A real air filter doesn't need excuses,it just works right.
The only advantage a k&n has is better air flow at really high rpm's. If that is what you need, it could be the filter for your ride, but not for mine.

Our filters are an 8 ply guaze style filter. They have great area flow and don't let anything through. The guaze style filters aren't bad, they just get a bad rap from mfg's that only use 3 ply on them.

Wasn't most of these problems were on 08 models that even Kawasaki admits was a bad design, isn't the gauze type filters on all most all vehicles I have ran both kind in many applications on and off road. I have never had any problem on any but for off road it is a must that either kind to be serviced regular. I would never argue with either side of this arguement.

Kawi (and other Manufacturers) never admit there is a problem or they would have to pay to fix it. Next year they come out corrected. Yamaha had to get lawsuits to fix some of thier issues.

I agree with you Doug, out of all of the years of being in the tire business I never expected to buy anybodys product that did not have problems my main concern is to do business with someone that admits they have a problem and will work with you to do something about it so you can take care of your customer without it all coming out of your pocket, and alot of times some of your big name companys were to worst to admit to a problem and one thing we all know is that no one is perfect.

I have an 08 and have had my carbs and intake off countless times and never had a spec of dust in my intake.. I run stock filter and now a UNI. I check my bike over after every ride. To say the 08 is the problem is a crazy statement. I have been all over the 08 and 09.. The fact of the matter is there isnt this huge change do to a dusting issue. The intake box was changed for other reasons.. The carb boots mount the EXACT same ways as the 09 and the filter mounts the EXACT same way. K&N have always been a very bad idea on any machine in dust conditions. I have seen atvs dusted and even 4x4 trucks using K&N .. So if you think it is an 08 issue then I have ocean front property in Arizona

I do not know about the 08 I just know that everyone has said on the 08 that you needed to put the plenum rings in and I thought that was the reason they were changing them because they let dust by my bad if there is no problem on the 08, what is the rings do?
