Which OD Plate?? Dalton or HW?

Hey all, wondering which OD plate to install. Myself I think I want to keep my electric brake so it's a no brainer to get the Hunterworks billet plate. Any objections to this? Is the Dalton better or would I even notice?

Also, I've seen this posted before and there are mixed answers, do I need a "STOP" Kit for an 2010 with a OD plate, Muzzy's and MSD?

Chris

I have overdrive plate, msd, and muzzy and hit 68 on speedo and have never blown oil. I usually dont hold it at 68 for any time, therefore that may be why i never blow oil. I also have heard it could depend on where your oil level actually is. Running it low on the dip stick rather than high seems to have helped some of the people who have blown oil. I have also heard some teryx's are just more prone to blowing oil than others. So just wait and see if yours blows and if so get the kit. JMO

09 teryx- msd ignition - water impellar - half windsheild - uni filter - standard muzzy - sdr rear bumper - hid lights - dalton clutch- water temp guage - ss108 14 inch with terra cross - dasa kebc block off plate - brake alarm buzzer - over drive plate -ssv works sound system -removable canvas top-odyssey battery- rock sliders

I got HW machined stock OD plate with MSD and muzzys and never blow oil, but again i'm a woods rider and dont run wide open much, but i do on the occasional fire road and have never had a problem, i would suggest not doing it until its an issue, may never be, its not really a big deal anyways as long as you keep an eye on it

Our billet over drive plate is on sale right now for $145.00 shipped. We have integrated fan blade design that will aid with clutch cooling ....... Ours will eliminate the KEBC. For me i like to control EXACTLY when and where the car brakes so eliminating the KEBC was the first thing i wanted to do

Yeah, I don't mind the electric brake, I do a lot of driving in mountains and rough terrain, it's nice not having to ride the brakes down a steep hill, also saves your brakes a bit. If they are the same pretty much performance wise, just one keeps the brake I think I would get the one with the bearing.

All the OD plates really do the same thing, give 4 to 6 mph. No one is really any better than the other. Ours is just the only one with the bearing in it, that's all.

Don't do the STOP kit unless you have the oil issue, it would be a waste of money if your not affected. We never want you to buy something you don't need but are ready when you do need something.

Thanks, I'll be contacting you shortly with a big order!

I may do a clutch mod eventually if I feel I need it. There is a Dalton shop in Truro only 2 hours from my house so I may go that route.

That is Dalton not one of their shops, Dale will be a great help. He is as sharp as anyone on clutches.
