Smile KMS 840 new build from start to finish!!

KMS has my Teryx in for a whole overhaul of the engine clutch and intake. Stage one of the build was the clutch. With the new setup that he did he increased the top speed by 20+ mph. I have attached the dyno sheet showing the numbers from the test. My Teryx has duel exhaust 840 kit and has clutch work done by others, we are trying to see how much more power he can get doing some new mods to it. I will keep updating this post with the new numbers and specs as soon as I get them from him. He told me the clutch setup would require you to send in your clutch and he would build it from your current setup. The clutch will be $375 and you would only need to ship the primary. I am looking forward the some high HP numbers when he is finished.

Do you know if he is putting a clutch kit in or if he is having machine work done to the clutch? Whos engine kit did he use ? The clutch sounds almost like a vforce john clutch mod, you send him your primary and 375.00 and he does the machine work and ships it back 2 day frieght, did he do any valve or head work with the 840 ?

It is machine work not a kit. As for the engine kit I have one on it by someone else. He is making his own 840kit and my Teryx is the test unit for the clutch, 840kit and new intake.

Sounds like he is doing something similar to v force john , I have been suprised that no body that done that sooner, because it has been a great mod for the kawis.

Smile Performance update!!!!!!!!!!

Just got the Teryx back from the extended engine build and the results so far are great. New HP is in-between 75 and 80 hp. Got new cams, new head work, clutch work and a set of Weber 44mm carbs. With my Ceros on I can lay some rubber on the asphalt. Heading to the dunes next week and will get a better feel for the engine work. It is all thanks to Kelly at KMS Performance!!!!!!!!!!!
