Are you burning oil or leaking it ? If your burning it you will see a blue colored smoke out the exhaust. Whoever rides behind you cant miss it.. If your burning a quart of oil in the first 100 miles , sounds like your rings did not seat.. Break in ?? Did you take it easy on it or ream it ? I personally believe reaming is better ( after you go through a few heat cycles and get it up to operating temp). When we dyno engines at work we dont baby them for the first 25 hours... No we load them down. I have a FST840 and I have well over 100 miles on mine and hasnt used a drop of oil. Lucas high performance 20w50 is what type of oil I use.. I think you have another issue going on

Both sides should be the same unless you are running alot richer on one cylinder and it would cause that side to be alot blacker or if one cylinder was burning oil or blow by it would also be black but usually you can tell the difference between a rich condition and oil by touch or smell

they dyno the engine before they sent it back to me, so it should of been all broke in i thought. I did take it easy on it. It was burnig the oil,no leaks. When i change oil @ 100 miles i put in bel-ray 10w-40, 1/2 quart every 100miles then.

Thanks for all of u guys import

I'm using Rotella straight 40 as per Mickey at FST, my pipes are not pumping out the same exhaust flow from one side to the next. Right side blows hard VS left.
