09 teryx 2'' or 3'' intake snorkel

I am currentley running 2'' intake snorkel seems to be running fine but slightly rich, never any problems though. I was thinking about going to a 3'' anyone running this without internal engine mods.

I found the 2" piping was a little small for a fairly stock 750 motor. It works
but its just a little small. Mine ran better when I added air. It ran worse with the air box lid off though. To much air is an issue too with out poflo style carb mods.

Yea, I figured I was alittle rich I'll see if I can round up some 2 1/2 if thats possible if not 3''.give that a try.I never fouled plugs or anything just some black at the end of the exhaust. Also 1200 miles with these mods.

Size is a lot more critical on the carb model, on the EFI model less.

If I remember the stock area of the opening is about 3 sq. in.

But I would do the three and if it ran rich I would choke the end of the snorkel down to match the stock opening but leave it 3"

Why would it run rich with more air? Loss of vacuum and the intake pressure sensor see it as a pressure rise therefore it thinks the engine just went down in elevation or you opened the throttle, either way it adds fuel.

With a MSD and a air/fuel ratio gauge you could fix the rich condition and the leaner if you had it elsewhere in the RPM range.
