backfiring, missing, and loss of power

HI, I am new to this site and the name is CHris, but if any one could help me with this issue Im having would be great. I have a 2010 Teryx just bought in feb. 2011 Brand new green, We were on a long ride yesterday and it started missing and back firing, and experiencing loss of power, to the extent I could not get it to go over 12mph. I checked the exhaust because of it being stock and saw there were issues that pertained to a clogged one. However that was not the issue. Im assuming it doesn't have a fuel filter as I could not find one. But I can't be a hundred percent sure. So if some one could please help me with this it would be greatly appreciated

Hard to diagnose but it does sound like it is starving for fuel, maybe fuel pump is bad.

hello,,, did you sort out the solution,,, i'm starting to have a similar problem,, 2010 T sport is now starting to lug , pop , no power at start up ... doesn't do it always... runs like a bat out of hell most of the time...only 350 miles,,, i have been easy on the unit from the first run...someone told me the changes on the 2010 from the 2009 include a switch that prevents running the unit if parking brake is set,,, i tested the sport with parking brake set and started to go,,, the sport popped , lugged, and acted the same as the problem... when i take the parking brake off,, no problem.. maybe a defective switch ??? i'm taking back to the dealer soon to have it ck out...

hello,, we found a problem / solution...,,, when the park brake has any pressure on the park brake pedal,,,, the lugging , stall, popping starts,, i think the issue is a adjustment on the linkage to the park brake,,, when we lift the pressure on the park brake pedal the problem stops.. i think , we have an issue with the linkage on the park brake .... will continue testing...don w...
