dynajet jet kit & uni filter setup

Hey all, I'm new to the forums....just purchased a used 2008 teryx a few months ago and it came with a dynojet jet kit, however I'm not sure currently what jets are in it, but I've been having some idle problems (i.e. will not idle unless the choke is pulled out). I removed the plugs and cleaned them (just bought new ones to replace them) and decided to purchase the uni filter setup from hunterworks. After cleaning the plugs it did begin to idle but not real smoothly.

I believe the engine is stock, and there may be a clutch kit in it. The exhaust is stock.

My question is....does anyone know which size jets I should be running with this set up so that I can make sure the correct ones are installed. Also, anyone had plugs and/or air filter cause their teryx not to idle?

Thanks for any info you all can give me.

Putting a jet kit in there will not do so much with everything being stock but you would need 126 front and 130 rear if from the kit.

As far as idling, jets will not effect it. Your carbs are probably dirty and the mixture screw would effect that.

thanks very much for the info, what types of upgrades benefit from a jet kit? the original owner had an exhaust on it i believe but removed it when he sold it but i know that the jet kit came with it and wanted to make sure i had the right ones in it since i already have the plastic off. so you think it would be beneficial to clean out the carbs and adjust the idle screw?
thanks for the help

You might have a dirty carb causing the pilot circuit to be partially blocked off.

We have our own jet kit with TPI valves which are basically holes you can open and close.

Biggest difference in your kit and ours is the diaphragm springs and the valves. Our kit gained 6hp from 15 to 25 mph.
