Back firing through exhaust at half throttle

2009 750fi, Has Muzzy dual exhaust Muzzy digi tune, and k&n air cleaner. A Shop told me that the its not getting enough fuel for the amount of air it's sucking in. Has good fuel pressure 45psi, comp. is 65psi both cyl. and vavles in spec. There telling me to put stock air cleaner assembly back on and it will run fine. Is this true? any suggestions?

A clean k&n should flow better than stock.

Doug, yes I understand that, but the shop says it's getting too much air for the amount of fuel. (going lean ). Even with fuel controller.(digi tune). They say putting the stock air filter assem. back on that will fix it. I don't know if this will work.

I'd get a MSD with a fuel map for the Muzzy.

I second the MSD. Make sure you buy it from a site sponsor and they will give you a fuel map for a stock engine with muzzy pipes, or at least get the instructions for the digitune and get it working properly. Maybe call muzzy and ask them for some pointers in the use and setup of their product.

2010 black, FST 840 stage II cams, DASA intake & injectors, BF throttle bodies, Msd, Muzzy Pro`s, Snorkeled, Warn XT 4000, EMP, 2 seat race cage, Custom rear Radiator, Unisteer, STI HD beadlocks and 30x10x14 EFX motoclaws
