Effects of mud on wrapped headers

I've been thinking about wrapping the header pipes on my Muzzy's exhaust after seeing some of the pictures floating around of melted body/engine parts.

What effect does mud and water have on the wrapped headers. I've wrapped headers on past autos but they would never ever see the mud like the Teryx does.

Have any of you ceramic coated your header pipes? I've been using a company called jet-hot for vehicles in the past and am thinking of ordering a new header pipe set and having it coated. Definitely the more expensive way to go.

I don't think the mud will bother it much.

There is too reasons to wrap an exhaust, one to keep the heat off something and the other is to keep the heat inside so helps performance by keeping the velocity up.

I will go ahead and wrap the header pipes. I took it through some pretty bad stuff this past weekend and I was amazed at how clean the engine compartment was.

I am running the new ceramic coating from Muzzy's on the #1 head pipes and have regular stainless wrapped headpipe #2's right now. With the Ceramic coating, I probably would not wrap. There is really not a huge amount of difference between the stainless wrapped and the stainless with the new Muzzy's ceramic coating. There is a little difference, but not huge, I'll skip the wrap on the ceramic coated head pipes for sure after testing.
