Well, Ive decided to part it out instead of fix it. All kinds of parts will be up for sale on Ebay, wich is where the engine is listed right now. I think I will list all parts there, unless someone can offer a FAIR price on here.
Here is the listing you can copy and paste to check it out.
Here is what it says minus pics and the typical ebay stuff.....
"Up for bids is a 2008 Kawasaki Teryx 750 V-Twin complete with 32 hours on it. This unit will also fit the Brute force 750 quads.
The engine will be sold with all accesories including carbs, starter, belt cover, all sensors and everthing else thats connected to the engine.
What is NOT included is the air cleaner, coil packs, chassis wiring harness and exhaust system. There may be a few things I have not thought of, so its best to message me to ask about specific items. My number is 1-270-844-3199.
This Teryx was bought brand new off the showroom floor in March of 09'. In the total time I had it, I had put 32 hours on it. In July, while on a family fourwheeling trip I hit the side of a hill and bent the frame in a little. Come to find out, Kawasaki does NOT sell a replacement frame for the Teryx...they list it on Babbitts, but when you call to order it they contact Kawisaki wich states there will never be any frames sold for "repair" work. Just warranty issues. My insurance will not repair an ATV/UTV frame, so they totalled it out. I decided to buy the salvage from them and part it out here on Ebay, making a small fund for my next purchase.
Just to let all the Teryx owners know.... Kawisaki will NOT sell you a frame ! This fact just blows my mind !
Ill start with the engine, but will be selling everything off except for a few items. The radiator had sustained minor damage so it will not be sold, the front bumper was also damaged....its scrap metal, the tires and rims I will keep as spares for the new Teryx (Im thinking I will keep them) and both outer rollbar peices have small stress marks on them.
Now, back to the engine. This motor was broken in properly, with my one and only receipt for an oil and filter change at the 20 hour mark. It has been ridden VERY conservative mostly around the neighborhood with my kids in the rear bench seat (the seat is not for sale either).
95% of the time I got it out, I had my family with me.....so it hasnt been "Raw-dogged" at all. At the 20 hour mark, I had also checked belt deflection (as per service manual) and removed the thin shim to bring the new belt into spec. Speaking of the belt, it has never been "smoked" either.
If you are looking for a great 750 for a spare or replacement, look no further. There are not many of these engines out there to begin with....much less in this condition !
I watched another 750 sell last week for 1200.00 plus 150.00 shipping and a 350.00 core charge. And this engine was from a 2005 Brute with lord knows how many miles on it (the seller didnt state). It was also stripped of all accesories and looked like it was drug through an oil pit.
The engine I am selling comes complete with EVERYTHING ! No leaks, as close to brand new as you can get....and you will know the history of it ! This engine has not even had a pressure washer cleanup done, what you see is how it was.
This engine is for sale locally and I reserve the right to end this auction at any time. I will be taking best offers, and have a reserve set that coincides with the value of the engine.
Message or call if you have ANY question ! I will be happy to talk to you about the machine.
Included are two pictures of how the Teryx looks as of today, with almost all parts stripped off and ready to box. Also, a picture of the damaged area of the frame.
Shipping of this engine will be pallet type, unless you want to come pick it up. If it is shipped, minor fees that can be discussed over the phone will be added for me to pallet it up and travel the 18 miles to the UPS hub. Be sure to call or write with any questions....callers are taken more seriously.
I would guess the shipping cost to be around 100-150, but am not 100% sure.
Again ! there is NO core charge, and this engine will be ready to bolt in and run with all accesories included !
If auction is won and you are picking it up, you will have 5 days to come and get it. Payment options can be discussed via phone calls......please, no calls after 9:00 PM (my kids will be sleeping).
If you use Paypal, a 2% fee will be added to the final value. Paypal will charge me 2% of the final price for using them, and I think thats a rip-off. Best to not even use them if you can avoid it."
