Hello All!

I'm another newb from WV. New to side by sides but not to offroading. Have a pair of Honda atv's and a Suzuki Samurai built just for the woods. Haven't bought a Teryx yet but will as soon as I figure out whether to buy the 08 or 09 model. I love beatin through the trails in my old zuki but want to try one of these buggies out. Looks like fun. Anyhow, wanted to drop by and say hello

Hey there my friend, great to have you with us

I think whichever one you get you will love it for sure. The '08s are propably getting a little limited but I can only speak for Arizona. Have you found one out there?

Look forward to seeing you around, let us know what you evd up getting

IMHO get the 09. Particularly if you like fuel injection. If you want to mod, then it appears there are more options right now regarding carbuetors (though I doubt you'll have to wait long for FI options to appear). Someone like Diesel Powered would know. Look at his mods list!

The Kawasaki web site notes that improvements have been made to the ventilation for the belt drive for 09. I have observed posts about belt failures in the 08s. Some folks have gone to after market parts solutions, so if your heart is set on an 08, this is not insurmountable. But if you're thinking 08 to save money, this might be a concern.

Hope this helps.

BTW, Kawasaki of Santa Barbara (California) has two 08s. 805 964-4685 I just ordered my 09 from them. I'm not connected with them in any way.
