motor cover

i have a 2008 teryx, the motor gets so hot it almost burns your leg, i was told on the 2009 that problem has been fixed, do they make a shield or something that will go over the motor on the 08 or will the guard on the 09 fit the 08.

Rubber cover and a steel plate under a part of the drivers seat.

I have a 09. It does not get that hot. There has been alot of discussion on this forum about this issue and it seems to me that alot of the 08 owners are buying the shields and rubber flaps that are on the 09 to keep the heat away.

I found that on my 08 le model, taking the half windshield off made all the difference. I don't know the science of it...but if you have a windshield on, take it off. Put it back on in cold weather and it almost works like a heater.

im thinking of using dyno-mat inside the engine compartment next time i take it apart. i know that would cut down on some of the cab heat, but im a little worried that too much heat would stay in the engine compartment too....anyone tried this at all?

08 LE, DASA 840, Muzzys, CDI, Open Filter Carb setup, VFJ Stage 3, XMF LT w / WER shocks, XMF 2 seat radius cage, XMF bed delete kit and bumpers, Lowrance Baja 540c GPS, HID's, 14" MSA MCX tires on black MSA Diesels, Twisted Stitch Agressors w / XMF seat bases, and a whole bunch of other shit!

header wrap helps a bit also. i did the 2nd layer of foil back insulation and not as much help as you would think. someone needs to make metal shrowds to almost cover the engine compartment and it would be the best fix

08 Teryx NRA LE, FST 840, VForce John Stage 3 Clutch Mod, DASA Filter & Plenum Rings, 09 Sport Shocks, Engine ICE, 27 inch BIGHORNS, Dynatek CDI, MUZZY Duals, HunterWorks Carb Kit, BRP Gas Gauge, Full cab from ShockPro's

The 09s have some sort of matting on the inside of the engine compartment plastic too.

I ordered it but it and the rubber mat are still on back order.

I want to try the dynomat on the inside of my AFE INTAKE. I have been thinking that over for a while now. I think it might help take the roar out of the box.
