This forum has all the answers! Glad to be part of it.

I have been researching the 08 Teryx extensively prior to my purchase using Google. I've been directed to this site for almost every question I had (dozens of times), from console heat issues to airbox/filter mod's, to plastic roof recalls. It is obvious that this site has all the answers! So i'm glad to be part of such a great group!

I just purchased an 08 Teryx LE with under 500 miles on it. I've already experienced the console heat issue and plan on taking off the windshield for the summer. I've also read about some airbox plenum problem but probably need to look into it a little more because I don't know what a plenum is or what needs to be done. Maybe you can refer me to a thread with the answers?

So here's a brief intro...I live in Cedar City, UT and have enjoyed ATV's for years. I love where I live because of the diverse riding terrain and beautiful scenery. There is something for everyone here, whether it's extreme rock crawling or dune riding, or slow and easy scenic mountain trails. I have owned Yamaha and Suzuki ATV's but this is my first Kawi, so I'm hoping my first experience is also a good one. I have 3 little kiddo's and that's essentially what drove me to buy a SxS. I have a 5-yr old and 3-yr old (both boys) that navigate from the back seat. My wife and a new baby girl will share the passenger seat most of the time for now.

So that's me, if there is anything a new owner of an 08 Teryx needs to know, lay it on me. I look forward to being an active part of this forum.

The plenum is the plastic piece of the intake directly above the carburetors. It is a common problem on the 08's to have the plenum slip out of the boots and suck in dirt. This problem is solved by installing little aluminum rings into the plenum to prevent it from popping out of the boots.

Welcome to the forum and hope you have lots of fun with the new toy.

Welcome to the forum and I will be glad to answer any questions I am equipped to answer.

There are some good vendors on here for sure.

We may be competitors but keep it pretty civil most of the time.

Most all of us vendors on here will be glad to help you in anyway we can.

The plenum problem was only on the carb models (2008) Kawie used a different design when they started the FI models in 2009.
