Cool Rexaholic in Kentucky

I am new to the HQ and already beefited from it. I snorkeled My 2008 Rex today (CVT Housing). Thaks for the help. I do have a concern though....The exaust snorkel goes from 3" to 2" and Im affraid it wont be able to move enough hot air out to keep from smoking a belt??? Any feedback. Thanks

I've got the same concern. Just installed one on my 2010 last night. I haven't had a chance to drive it yet.

Did you run your intake from under the hood, or the back of the roll cage?

I sure wish there was a way to keep the 3" exhaust though.

test drove the snorkel setup

I snorkel the intake and exuast up behind the seat, glad I turned the snorkels down onto the back because there was a lot of heat coming outa that exaust pipe. It would be too much behind the seat. I gotta say..that exaust pipe got prety warm. I used all black sch. 40 pipe. I dont think the thin stuff would hold up. I just would like to know what the PROS. think on the 3 to 2 in reduction. Or maybe someone who has had theirs snok'd for a while, Been any problems???

welcome to the forum and you could always try a 12volt boat bildge blower to get some extra air moving

09teryxon32s, you got any pics of your set up?

How did you rout your lines? Are you using a 3"-2" reducer on the exhaust end?

Sorry for all the questions.

Thanks John... Did you mount it on the intake or the exhaust side?

I mounted mine on the intake side to force cool air in. I wired my blower to with a switch. I am going to eventually put another one on the exhasut side to help pull air out, but I dont think its going to make that big of a difference (just want to see if it does help). The one I have on the intake side does more than enough.
