New Teryx - too much oil?

Brand new Teryx yesterday. 1st 2 kms = huge puff of blue smoke and stall!
Dealer had placed +/- 3/4 quart too much extra oil.
I drained appropriate amount and now all is good.
Should I be worried?
Dealer is 2.5 hours away so too far to throw rocks at him

Lots of people run catch cans for oil smoke issues (I do now too).
If its all stock I ran between half and 3/4 on the dip stick to help the smoking/oil push issue.

You need to look in the intake and see how much you puked up into there. That's where your smoke came from ... it injested oil down the throttle bodies. Get it all cleaned out so you aren't chasing smoke/sputtering for no reason. A syphon break is a good idea if you plan to do any mods and/or run at sustained high RPMs.

My 2010 was over filled by a quart. It is a stock machine for now so I am not too woried about oil in the plenum now that the oil level is correct. In the future I plan on MSD and some clutch mods and then maybe an exhaust. I will be installing my own catch can setup at the same time I start the mods and start turning higher RPMs.
