New teryx owner

My name is Logan and I'm 29. I work as an xray tech in a small town hospital in Tell City, Indiana. I drove around in my dad's new 2012 diesel mule and I loved it but hated the 25mph limit. So I bought myself a 2012 teryx to ride around on our farm with. I think dad likes it too because I have caught him sneaking off on it a few times. My new teryx can be hard to start but I hope the msd box and muzzy exhaust will fix it. I'm going to use it mostly for trail riding and muddin'. This is my first SXS but I have ridden atv's off and on since I was 3 and sportbikes since I was 19. I have also gotten into dirtbikes recently. Nothing major, just a 2004 ttr225 to get me started. I am also a huge subaru fan. I have 3 subarus. My wrx has more money in mods than it cost new.

The MSD and Muzzy won't help the starting. It should not be hard starting yet, typically after they get a few miles on them you have to adjust the valves for the hard starting.

When you get ready for the Muzzy and MSD call me for a deal.

I already sent you an email and you have responded. Good price! $80 cheaper than the other guy I tried. $80 is a filter and adapter!

This thing has been hard to start since new. If it sits over night it will die 3 times before it will idle.

Should not be, I might start with throttle sensor voltage, I think it would be 1.24 dcv but that is off the top of my head.

Grr why does vfj think his Msd box and muzzy pro pipe package is worth $80 more? I have heard his maps are kickass but he won't budge an inch. I've been working on him all day and I haven't gained an inch. He said the go ahead and buy another msd box and then don't complain to him when I don't get good gains. Grr so cocky. You get what you pay for he says. I know tuning isn't where you want to save money but it isn't even a custom map. It is a cookie cutter map. I'll probably save that $80 and put it towards a custom tune just to spite him.

Well don't get caught up in all that. It is important to get the right fuel for the mods you do and it does help to add some timing but don't get caught up in thinking that one custom map is so much better than the other, your butt will never know the difference.

You can be off as much as 10% on fuel and the dyno does not know the difference and if it does not know then your butt sure does not know.

BTW, I don't mean to say our maps are not right I would just making a point.

So why pay $80 more for it especially when you can buy from someone nice and not cocky?? LOL

Yeah, I'll probably still get a clutch upgrade from him down the road. I'll just go in to it knowing not to ask for a couple bucks off. My pride wouldn't let me buy from him after the argument we had.
