New Teryx owner here.

Hey. My name is Justin. I live at the base of the coastal range in Oregon. I just bought a Teryx a week or two ago. So far I like it. The wife and I are planning to take it to the dunes next weekend to see how it handles that. Anyhow, I just wanted to say hi.

Let me be the first to welcome you to the site. Jaybo one of the mods on the site is from Oregon also and frequents the dunes. Our duning season wont be here for a few more months but I can't wait to get mine out and play in some sand. Post back a report after your trip and let us all know how it went. Do you plan on doing any mods to your ride? Have fun and look forward to seeing you around the site.

Thanks. Yeah, I plan on doing some performance mods. So far, it is just the 4000lb warn winch, the digital guages, and a few things like that. They didn't have a limited addition in Oregon, so I got the parts that I cared about for mine. My immediate plans include a cdi, exhaust, intake, and clutch. I need to do some more research to figure out which is the best way to go on these. Eventually, I would like to go with the high compression 750 kit from dragonfire racing. They are claiming over 80 hp out of them with all bolt ons. The bonus is no cylinder work is required. Anyhow, that is down the road a bit anyhow.

Hi there, great to have you with us!

One thing I will mention, with that high compression 750 kit, you will be required to run race fuel in it...so that may be a negative for you, personally, I am going to be running the 840 kit with the stage III cams.

For clutch, I would definately look into the Dalton clutch kit, the owner Helix is a member on this site and will be happy to answer any questions you have about it.

Exhaust, well I think we can all agree that the Muzzys is the way to go

Finally, CDI, a lot of people are running the Dynatek with great success.

Anyhow, once again welcome and enjoy your stay!

Hi & welcome I haven't done any mods on mine yet either, but hope to do the Dynatek & maybe carb kit when I can afford it . There are a lot of nice guys on this site & you'll get good polite answers here. Todd at Hunterworks has his own version of the programmable CDI & a carb kit that many guys have installed with good luck.

Yeah, that is a bad deal not being able to run pump gas. I will look into the Dalton clutch. I have heard great things about the Dynatek CDI and the Muzzy exhaust. The CDI was between Dunatek and Dragonfire racing's cdi. Thanks for the info.

Great. I will probably be doing some tweaking pretty soon. I might order a cdi this week. I have heard that it is the best bang for the buck. Plus, I want to get rid of that pesky speed limiter!

2zuks,

The DFR is a dynatek.

Read our tech article telling what you might want to look at for basic mods.
