whitey ive got a muffler unmodified from my 08 that i will give you if you pay shipping.what everyone used to do was cut the end off and take the insides out and then weld the lid back on.i never got into any of mine like this ..i always bought a good name brand exhaust.

Flyin Hi
I drilled 2 3/8" holes right at the end of the muffler one on each side, which isn't easy at that angle, you must punch a small hole then increase the size. It sound really good but is not too loud. I was out riding a day or 2 ago and the other guys sad it sounded mean. You may want to try it and it does not hurt anything. Good luck!

bigdaddy I am running the muzzy but most everyone I have heard on here says removing the stock tip will get 2-3 hp but I don't think as far as hp there is much more to be had in the muffler, most of the big hp gain come out of the head pipes

Anyone been inside a teryx exhaust?

I have a 2009 efi teryx with an msd and billet od clutch cover on the way. Has anyone every cut open a stock teryx exhaust? i did this on my brute force 650i and removed some of the restricting baffles, drilled a few holes and opened it up a little. what i got was a great sound which is not to loud and great bottom end power. has anyone ever modified one of these? what is in it? i was also thinking about adding a power tip to top it off. thanks
