Riding on the Beach?

I live here in VA/WV line and there are plenty of places to ride, but I have always wanted to ride on the beach. I saw a photo on here of a couple of Teryx's on the beach. Is there anyone on the east coast where you can ride on the beach?

I know this post is about 4 months old but oh well. There is a possibility that you can ride a Carolina Beach, don't expect to do anymore than cruising around though.

You may be able to drive on some secluded parts of Daytona Beach.

Smile riding on the beach

Cape Lookout National Park is open to off-road vehicles except for the winter months. You take a private ferry from Davis, NC over to the island and have 20+ miles of open beaches. However, you are under the auspices of the National Park Service rangers where strict speed limits and other rules apply. Visit the nps.gov website for Cape Lookout for all regulations. It is beautiful out there, but quite primitive. Insects are bad in the hot months and especially when the wind is not blowing. Camping is permitted and cabins are there for rental. Helmets are required for ATV's but not for UTV's.

You can ride on the Outer Banks, Cape Lookout National Seashore, Coast of NC, Take ferry to islands, stay in rented cabins. Great place to ride, One island about 62 miles long.

I am sure you guys are all aware of this, but when riding in a salt water environment I always try to have a source of fresh water avilable to hose the rig down with after a days' riding.
We used to hit Oregon Dunes regularly, and found that if you didn't do this and got into a salt puddle or whatever the corrosion would start darn near instantly, usually in electrical connectors, etc, where real gremlins can form.
With the Teryx, I plan to go back to O.D. and, if nothing else is available, I will take a garden sprayer with me that I can fill with fresh water and get into the nooks where rust can form, hosing it down before I tuck it away every evening.
Just something to think about.
Running the coast and seeing what the tide brings in can be a blast. In the late 1970's, we actually found a Japanese glass ball float from one of there fisihing boats on the beach south of Florence.

I would love to go to the Oregon Dunes, been trying to plan a trip, one of these years I will make it. Want to play in the sand by the Ocean, pictures I have seen look awesome!
Where is the best place to go in Oregan for the dunes? Is there lots of different places? I know this is an old post but maybe someone out there will respond.
