DragonFire Racing, Team Green Kawasaki and Pistol Pete Sohren enter Trophy Truck, Class 1 and the UTV Class for the SCORE BAJA 500

We are back to the Desert the first week of June for the Tecate Score Baja 500. I am excited to be back in the Class 1 car. We have made many changes to the chassis with the help of Gear One, Fox Racing, UPR and Greg Foutz since Primm last month, and not even the Swine Flu will stop us from getting this car to the checkers first.
We are also back with Team Green Kawasaki this year and have Reid Nordin and Hans Waage sharing the driving our Factory Backed Teryx. The success this car is having in both short course and Desert Racing make this 90 MPH Teryx quite the Monster in Baja
We added a Trophy Truck to the mix and brought Pistol Pete Sohren in to make it an all out assault on the 2009 Tecate Score Baja 500.
"I am excited to be part of team DragonFire Racing for one of the best races of the year. Team DragonFire plans to launch a three prong attack on the Baja 500 we are gunning for the Podium." Stated Pistol Pete Sohren.
Baja has and always will be the epic adventure, we are fortunate enough to be part of this series every year, and wish all our friends, drivers and competitors a safe and fast race.

On that car we were running ITP Baja Cross tires on ITP T7 Beedlock rims. The tires are now available to the public. They happen to be my favorite tire they are light, strong, and have a tread that will work most anywhere, while staying pretty skinny for tight racing and trails.

Hope this gives a closer look.

That is a sick looking rig. Would you recommend those tires for regular trail use (fire roads / minor rock crawling) on a moderately modified rig, or is there another tire you'd recommend?

I think they would work great on those types of trails. They have a pretty flat face to them so the rocks should be no issue. On a stock car you are fighting weight and I think these tires are a good solution, they are light and have a gnarly tread pattern. We have them on a couple of the cars here and the guy's around the shop like them in fact we are running them on all of our LOORRS cars this year and on the Teryx for the Baja 500 soon. They did great in the 1000.

I agree these tires look awesome. Any idea how they work in sand? I ride in a mixed terrain of sand, hard packed sand and dirt and with some rocks mixed in. So I am wondering how they work in the sand.

We ride the same conditions out here we think they work great. If you are going to the dunes you really can't beat paddles, but for a good all around tire in sand, hard pack, and rocks then this is your tire. They were made for that.

Yeah, I agree for sand paddles are the way to go. Alot of people seem to like the bighorn's, so how do you think these compare to bighorns? I am asking because I am getting ready to get new rims and tires. I'm trying to decide what type of beadlocks to go with and tires as well.
