Todd, How would you compare a 08 teryx with Dyna CDI, your HW jet/intake kit, and with muzzys exhaust as compared to the 09 with just the muzzy exhaust. Which is gonna have more power? Both with stock wheels and tires. Just wandering how much more powerful a 09 is over a 08.

Great work again Todd!!

You just make alot of 09 owners very happy with your findings.

I enjoyed reading through some of your tech articles on your site, very informative, I will be calling you about the ITI sway bars.

We are sending a 840 Teryx over to HMF to build a better pipe. I have worked with Muzzy over the past years and I know how to get a good 5hp more out of their pipe. My goal is to have it cheeper, quieter with more HP.

Good work Todd.
Thank you for testing the Muzzy in 09.

Good luck Mickey. I hope you succeed at your 3 point goal. I always find HMF to be some of the louder exhaust systems though. More HP may be possible, if it is a 2 tuned pipes into 1 proper sized exhaust can. I always thought the twin Muzzys look very cool though and gave good hp gains.:good:

Todd do you remember or have a ball park idea what your 08 teryx HP numbers were with muzzy, programmable Dynatek, exhaust tip removed, and with the Hunterworks TPI Valves/jet kit??

DBmachine,

Look at the original article where we did the exhaust shoot out and that had all those things you mentioned. Right now without the ignition we are about 2hp less than the 08 model.

Cuz Eddie,

I would not recommend the a fuel controller if this is the only mod you do.

This makes me feel a little better about my 09 with the Muzzy. I put it on back in November and took the chance. Thanks for getting this information to us Todd.

If you have a lift or you jack up your machine, you can probably install the Muzzy's system from the sides and underneath the machine and not have to remove your cage or dump your bed. I have the same issue on my 08, and I can do the whole install from the bottom and drivers side.

I am not super mechanically inclined either, but I could do it easy enough. One word of warning though. You do not have to touch any single part of the Muzzy's system with anything but your hands. Do not tighten the flanges where it bolts to your heads until you have the whole system positioned correctly. I had a shop install my STD Bore kit and they guy used a mallet to get the Muzzy's system back together, and he made it leak like crazy. I have tried to fix the leaks with High Temp RTV, but I am just going to have to replace it to get it right again. That was an expensive mistake and I learned the hard way. Had I been there, I would have freaked at the first sign of a hammer but I had to leave it there for a while during the install. There are flat spots where he beat on it is how I figured out what happened, after I noticed it was leaking at almost every joint. The system is thin and light Stainless and very precision. If you beat on it or force it, you will mess up the connections and they will then leak. It is impossible to tune a machine with a bunch of exhaust leaks.
