We just had our second engine where the crank bearing was not pressed all the way in.

Someone might say well it moved when you pressed the crank out. I would agree if the tabs holding it in were bent or if the screws didn't tighten up after you pressed the bearing to the right depth.

You can also look at the rod bearings and see they had some side load on them.

Of course Kawi will not admit to this as normal.
