Got a 2010 with itp 26's Took it out about three time while I was installing a stereo the front tire went flat. About four day after riding. Tires are like new hate to have to buy a new one already. The local tire shop said they might be able to if it's not to bad, but when the air it up to get it one the beed, like 30 psi if it might blow they won't touch it. So is there a way to patch it and get the beed back on without killing myself. Any help would be great

Pictures of the damaged tire would help. Hard to give an answer without them.

There are too many variables. How bad is the damage, where is the damage.....but personally I don't like repairing tires with sidewall damage. Loosing a tire at 60 in big whoops in the desert would not be pretty. I also wouldn't want to get stuck in the middle of no where because of a bad tire that I know should have already been replaced.

I am like FUELATV need to see it but I can repair some sidewall leaks, after 31 years of doing it I have seen it all, some people will just say no but some sidewall leaks can be repaired size of the puncture and how close it is to the bead and if it has had fix-a-flat in it are the biggest concerns , I might not be able to answer some of the engine questions but when it comes to tires thats all I have done my whole life, I have owned and run my Bridgestone tire store for ever and the first 10 years I did alot of the work myself,I am about ready to retire and play with my grand kids and Teryx and Rhino.

If the bead area is damaged you probably will not get it to seal again, will need to use a tube. If the sidewall is leaking and like bigdaddy said if it is only a small hole you can patch them. My 27" XTR had a pin hole in the right front tires sidewall, cleaned it up and installed a large patch and working good still. Trying to get the last few miles out of them. A picture of it would help us understand what is needed or how bad. Good luck.

Yea it's alot bigger than a pin hole, just worried about it blowing out while driving. Maybe I'll try putting a tube in it. I put some slime in it and rubber cement and it's holding now but don't know when I go riding. Thanks for all the help

i think we had to put 3 plugs in one of my mudlites on the trail. you can ride with plugs, but i ended up replacing mine cause it was plugged in t spots and would still leak down.

If the hole won't hold plugs because it is too big, put a bolt with those big fenderwashers, inside and out. RTV (silicone sealer) the tire side on both of the washers and the bolt, then tighten it up, let it set for 24 hours to cure and waa laa. Oh, put the threaded side "in", so it doesn't catch in ruts and stuff.

Just do the old 'Red Green' way - duct tape. :D
