Hey guys I'm not a Teryx owner yet, hopefully going to Chaparrel tomorrow to close the deal! Kinda worried about the Teryx having carburetors (will they go to FI next year?) and no gas gauge everything else I like about the Teryx if you guys have any feedback on my concerns please let me know. Thanx, Mark :)

Hey there, first off welcome to the site, best of luck with the deal tomorrow.

Honestly my friend, there are ways around everything. You can install a fuel gauge later if you wish...although why they did not put one in is beyond me.

The carb thing, I understand what you are saying...do I wish they had EFI, yes but the v-twin makes up for it in my opinion. On top of that, more people feel comfortable playing with carbs than EFI. It will not shock me if they have fuel gauges and EFI for 2009.

Bottom line, I love my Teryx...I do not think you will be dissapointed.

Right on dieselpowered,I new you would be the first one to get back to me! ha! Yea I have been kicking this around for a couple of weeks my local dealer has given me a price of 11,200 out the door for the le model I think I'll go to chaparrell tomarrow to see what they can do on the good guy deal! What do you do about the gas gauge issue? does the sight window under the seat give you a semi correct reading? What do you think about that price? Thanx, Mark

From what others are getting the LEs for, that sounds kinda high. As far as what I do about fuel, when it stops running, then I know it is out ;)

Actually I just have to keep an eye on it, but we have not been on any really long runs, therefore, has not been an issue yet. If the LE has the same fuel window as the standard, then it is worthless, I cannot see anything through it.

I do not have a LE I just went with the standard since everything that comes on the LE would have been taken off anyway when we do the build...therefore, it was not worth spending $1000 more.

If you are going to put a four seat cage on there, then you know the roof and dump bed will not work...you are then left with paying $1000 more for the LED gauge, half windshield, and cup holders. If you can get a good deal on the standard model, you can add the LED gauge later for $219.95

Just a thought :)

Where are you located?

Thanks for the insight! You know you are correct! I do plan on putting a seat in the back and putting on a four seater roll cage so the little windshield, cover and the dump bed would go out the window anyway! I would like the digital dash (is it pre wired for it?.) and the drink holder.I am new at this and did not know how to my location on here.I am in so.ca. approx. 60 miles north of LA. :)

Yes there is a pigtail behind the dash, so if you get a standard model you can just purchase an LED gauge and it plugs right in. You could also purchase the cupholders, I am sure those two items combined are not worth the extra $1000 seeing as the other stuff will not get used. ;)
