I haven't removed the axle yet, but I'm certain I busted the outer cage. Assuming the cv isn't damaged, I found a rebuild kit from American CV for about $80, or Hunterworks has complete replacement axles for $125. Which would you recommend? What other options are out there? Budget for this repair is no more than $150, so OEM is out of the question.

EPI sells nice replacement CV's, price is right and parts are quality. I have replaced three outers and an inner on my 2010 840 and they are holding up well.

Just checked their website and it looks like they don't make them for the front of 08-early 09s.

I'm leaning towards your axles heavily just to have a full replacement and have the extra parts from my stocker for rebuild.
