This question is for Todd and those who have installed the HW Carb Kit. I want the carb kit and the uni filter from HW. I have watched the install video a few times and read all about it. Also I am very mechanical. i can usually Mcgyver anything. But when it comes to carbs they scare the hell out of me. Its one of those things that if mess with one it never works right again. I have the dynatek cdi and exhaust tip and it runs great. Here in West Virginia its cold and I am running a little rich. It is pretty cool my property adjoins the Hatfield and McCoy Trails. I have ridden these forever and I know tons of trails that are more fun than the H trail. Maybe if any of you guys ride the trail we could get together for a journey.

Sorry Todd. Is this carb kit as easy as it looks for someone mechanically inclined and is this something that you have to monkey with the carbs alot after adding. I want to stop performance mods after the carb and air filter. A clutch hat maybe. The cdi and xhaust tip are wonderful

It appears that largest majority of people don't have to monkey with it too much and some have to do a little bit of fine tuning and then there are the rare ones that have to wind up getting a air/fuel ratio gauge to get theirs straightened out.

It is a easy install if you watch the video.

The video is great and I think I will have no problem putting in the kit. I just hope My bad luck tweaking carbs is over. Carbs and me have a troubled past I will be giving you a shout in the near future to buy the kit and filter. Would you do anything else after these 2 mods?

I'm mechanically inept, and it was easy, only carbs I ever work on is chainsaws...very limited experience here. YOU can do it! The worst part is taking them damn push pin bolts out! As stated in his video, just be very careful drilling out the caps that protect the air screw adjustments...I was over zealous on mine, and had to replace one screw. Here is another video of one other member doing the carbs..

Here is his other videos..maybe they will help to..

I agree with Teerible.. I had no experience with carbs before I put my kit in. I just downloaded the install video and took my laptop out to the garage w/ me and just kinda followed along w/ the video and took my time working through it. And if you do have any issues, it's easy enough to get help!

NGK Irridium plugs

any improvement over stock plug. also if you have to disengage the engine brake when installing the clutch hat would the benefit be worth losing the engine break for someone who is in steep terrain pretty much all the time.

you really don't lose the engine braking like you think, I wouldn't let it stop you from going with the OD plate.

I run NGK Iridium CR7EIX plugs in the Teryx and my Prairie. This will make the third season with the same plugs in the Prairie and the second season on the Teryx. I think they are well worth the price
