You have all probably noticed the large approx. 4" diameter pipe that exits the tranny, which actually expels excess heat from the transmission.

Now here is my question, high water crossings could in fact block that port, therefore, I am curious if that could cause any heat related issues with the transmission?

That seems to be the consensus. A lot of people are mudding and crossing deep water and they do not appear to be having any issues.

I have not been in any water but this past weekend both of my cousins were in water almost to the bottom of the dash. Both machines did very well and they played quite a while. I agree that is seems we are going to be ok.

i just snorkeled mine so i dont have to worry about it
While that is cool, and I am going to start a thread about it...this actually has to do with the CVT exhaust pipe that you can see in back :)

All of the electronics are under the drivers seat, can that can get wet and cause no problems?
That is a hard one to answer. I have known some that have had no issues, and other that have experienced problems with their CDI.

i would be more worried about the trans. intake located at the vented area below your shifter between the two seats. you get water there you are screwed and going no where. if you are that worried about it just snorkel it. it is cheap and protects your bike.
