Howdy all, from Huntington Beach. We don't have one yet, but we are researching and so far we dig the Kawi over the others. Got Jeeps, tuck, open trailer, 4 quads, and a couple tents. Looking forward to learning more and making an educated (over researched decision) decision on a side by side.

Hey there, great to have you with us, as it was stated, a great group of people here happy to answer any questions you have.

I do not think you will go wrong with the Teryx, what type of riding do you mostly do?

Thanks for the quick responses! We do a mix between dunes and trails. Glamis, Pismo, Mammoth, and Big Bear mostly, but we do day trips too to the various places in and around SoCal. Pretty mellow riding with the kids, wife, and friends.

Sold our large (36ft 5th wheel) toyhauler a couple years back due to a work injury I had, and now instead of buying another one we have been tenting it and using the extra cash for fuel and such. I did however buy a new Dodge truck recently cause my Ford was giving me so many problems. Right now is definitely a buyers market. I have a 7X14 PJ trailer I tow the toys on, may have to get a dual alxle PJ when we get a side by side to fit everything. At least these trailers are a very small investment!

I have never been to Pismo but would really like to get there one day! Looks like the dunes there are smaller than somewhere like Glamis, but the views look great!

Here is a link I gave to someone else who was also using this site for research. It is basically a chart that compares different ruv's and has comments below. I found it very useful, and it helped me decide on my Teryx. However, rumor has it that the 2009 or 2010 Teryx will have EFI, so you may want to wait a bit if you can!!!

You may also want to look at a thred titled Hello from a former Ranger Owner (or something like that)

Drop a line here once you decide what you want to buy!
