A company whose name will remain confidential at this time has asked us to provide feedback to them on what Teryx owners would be interested in seeing on the market. This is an opportunity for you to speak up if there is something you want, who knows, it may very well go to production.

With that said, if you had the ability of molding plastic, what would you make for your Teryx?

So you are thinking bob the bed a little bit and put a molded cooler area at say the back of it or something?

Kinda liking the idea.

I am right there with you. I have been doing some brainstorming and speaking with some of the companies on what could be done. Problem is, the one area that you would likely want to get to (the channel behind the dash) a two piece hood would still not work. Bottom line, the mounting for the cage is in the way. Now you could do a single piece and covered that channel and then hinge the second part from there. You would then atleast be able to lift the hood to get the that area in front of the firewall in the case you mount a second batter, etc.

How about a one piece front clip that hinged in the front and tipped forward, like the one piece fronts on drag cars and Jeeps?? Although that would interfere with any bumper that was above the existing bumper line.

A lightweight, plastic bed with a built in cooler rack.

Stock bed is 105 lbs. It would be awesome to lose some weight and shorten the Teryx up a bit.
Spoke to the company about this, they are going to look into what they would be able to do.

How do you then secure the rear part of the hood? You still have that problem with the channel behind the dash, am I right or am I not getting what you are saying?

What is killing us is that channel and of course the cage. Like in my case, I have a cross member that goes from one a-pillar to the other across my dash and a tad over the hood.

Jeep latches (like the CJ uses on the front) or the bungie snap down type or even regular ol hood pins like the race cars use. Don't know about your overhang off of your cage.
I am still with the 2 piece hood like a car or truck hood with some type of hold down in the front. As many wizards in metal work on these pages, I'm surprized someone hasn't cut a front clip up and installed the hinges themselves.

interior Accessories, I.e. Dash Mods for Stereos, Inetrcomm, switches or guages, tilt Steering.

Stuff that would save a lot of us time in Trying to engineer ourselves

Yes sir, ok we were talking about the same thing and your suggestion is basically what I was speaking of in my previous post. At the very least, a two piece hood that clipped in front would be beneficial. I will bring this up to them again as I discussed this with them earlier.

I want a complete Teryx bed replacement that is much lighter, a bit smaller and has an option for a built in cooler tie down.
Yes, that is exactly what I spoke to them about...they are going to discuss it and let me know. The way I envisioned was an optional molded area for a cooler. Maybe even have d-rings on either side of the area in order to strap the cooler down.

Yes I spoke to them as well about doing a dash. Exactly how you descibed, guage cutout for say AutoMeter gauges, cutouts for switches, reinforced single or double din pockets for stereo installs, etc.

If we are still talking molded plastic , I would like to see a universal radiator shroud that could be trimmed for custom bumpers, done in black (stealthy). reasonably priced! Someone needs to go after the lower buck market, things that you can finish at home in your shop, or kits, most of willing weld, do some fab work, or turn wrenches.......................

Ok so a universal radiator shroud. I suppose once I get the front bumper in I will have a better idea of how the factory shroud is affected by the bumper. I will definately take a look for you.

I never thought about it until this post but I really like the dash idea.

I would love to see a new gas pedal and brake pedal. The very first time I drove mine, I felt like my shins and ankle were cramping because it requires you to keep you foot lifted up. If the gas pedal was moved over to the right and back towards the firewall it would be alot more comfortable, and then move the brake pedal over. I could live with the brake pedal were it is. I bought the metal to do my own, but who knows when I will get to that, I'd rather buy one. I also think the parking brake lever is too long and would rather a shorter one, I think this would be easy to cut and weld.:D

I know its not plastic but i want electronically actuated 4x4 and diff lock, the cables on these things are way to prone to failure, and x2 on the lighter bed with place for cooler + a tool box for tow straps, jumper cables, maybe a jacket, and a few tools. a dash with some knockouts for switches and gauges you could later add yourself would be nice too. Oh and dont forget about better fasteners for the bedsides and such
