out riding other day and rex popped out of gear while climbing hill making 1 helluva racket. Adjusted shift linkage when i got home but it is still popping out once in awhile. This never happened before but recently after reading post about grinding out shifter gate to prevent damage to tranny i ground out my shifter gate in high and low some and wondering if i took out to much:scared2:. Afraid i have already damaged something and wondering what it is that might be and what kinda job to replace. Would like to fix it before im out on trail and have catostophic failure. Hoping i dont have to split cases:rm_thumbdown: I just recently installed std bore kit in this pos, if not 1 thing its another:rm_thumbdown::rm_thumbdown: Any help appreciated

I have some bad news for you, there is a 99.9% chance your tranny gears are broken and you will have to split the case and fix it.

Well if I shipped u motor how much u charge in labor, i just did stx bore kit so top end and crank should be good, how much could I expect in parts cost, not sure I wanna get into this tear down myself. From what I understand if let go could take out cases

Labor is pretty standard here, you ship a engine and I split it it is $900 labor I can't say on parts until it is torn down. Yes broke tranny gears can get crazy and really tear some stuff up or no damage to anything. Seen it both ways.
