Took my t-rex in for a belt change... Lunched the belt using the winch to pull something out that we shouldn't have :) While it was in we had the recall carb heater mod done. I noticed this weekend after we got it back that it seems a bit harder to start than before. It seems now that I have to pump the gas a couple of times to get it to fire up. Anyone else seeing this?

The recall is just a new ground wire for the carb heaters and should have zero effect on starting. You might want to check something else.

Mine has been like that since day one. I notice it even more when I'm up in the mountains from 1000 feet and higher.

I live at about 300 feet

but I almost always have to give a little gas to get it started unless I use the choke when it is stone cold.

I told the dealer about this when I dropped it off for the recall, and they gave me a bunch of crap about the carbs being dirty.
