So, is insurence a good idea? I mean ive read a few people here that have wrecked/totalled theirs and it sounds lke they got/ are getting a check.
Who do you guys have?
Whats it cost (ballpark)?
Is it worth it?

Just looking into it now being that im dumpin some COIN into mine (cage, bed delete, doors, long travel, etc.).

What does it protect against (theft, crashes, burns, herpes, lack of talent????)

I got it mostly to cover the Teryx while I'm towing it. People think that if its in the back of your truck or you are pulling it on the trailer it fully covered by the tow vehicle's insurance, it isn't. The Teryx would be covered liability wise, but you would be on the hook for the cost of fixing your Teryx. Anything with its own VIN# needs its own insurance for full coverage. I pay $300 for a year of full coverage with limits of 100k/300k.

It is a must. Mine is through my State Farm agency and it runs me about $25 bucks a month. I have had two friends in my club use claims on their's and both are very happy they had insurance to use, trust me.

Cost me about $260./yr. Agent says any add-ons or custom work probably not covered. This is State Farm and I have other coverages that make it cheaper.

just talk to your agent and get one at a "stated" value, that way the aftermarket parts are covered and they don't go by blue book value if anything happens. Only catch is you need to get it appraised.
