I bought some Tattou 4S tracks last year after buying a used '08 Teryx. Had great winter back country skiing with it...until I broke a CVT belt...8 miles in...with my wife- Recovered from that tragedy with info. on this site and Todd at Hunterworks...Realized just last week, 10 miles in/up, that when you stop you better make sure that you can get into neutral so you can start if it stalls, like mine did... I couldn't get it into N no matter how I tried...On ski/hike back down road with my wife, I realized that it was probably just like an ATV when stuck in Park..gotta rock it...Sure, 165lb guy rocking 1400lb vehicle with tracks in deep snow...ok, grab extra rope, ski up the next day and winch it forward to unlock gearing...pop into N and start her up...
How many people with tracks are there out in the big wide world? I'd like to hear other people's stories as we can learn as we go...

I wish it was that easy! I don't know if my rig originally had that feature (wiring) or not, but I can assure you it doesn't now! I damn near put the brake pedal through the floor boards trying to get it to start that way. Mine is an '08, so maybe that feature has changed?
Thanks though. I now make sure I have enough spare rope!

I got 2014 Teryx 4. I bought the Kimpex UTV Commander Tracks. This thing is a TANK! I live in Canada and this thing will handle Deep snow! Although the snowmobiles go fast, I can go were they can't even dream of going! I can tell you though if you are going in the real deep snow when you get out of the Teryx and sink to your belt in snow, it's not easy getting into a Teryx when the floor boards are sitting chest high!

I got my tracks from the Kawi dealer. They will run you about $4000. Do your research though make sure you get a good set. I like the Kimpex Commander because the frame is solid. Look like they will take some abuse

I was looking at the tatou 4 tracks but they are very pricey. I'll check on these ones, thanks.

I have a friend that bought the Tatou 4 tracks. The frame on one of the rear tracks bent with the first two months. He thinks it was a side impact while parked but no other obvious damage to the UTV. Regardless, I like my Trex UTV Commanders. The rear ones are also two inches wider than the tatou's which provides good surface area. I would recomend them.

Do have a T2 or T4. The application table on the Commander website only mentions the T2. I'm pretty sure they have a different bolt pattern.

I have a T4. The only thing that didn't fit quite right was around the boot guards so I had to do very minor modification. The bracket that bolts to you A-arm didn't leave room to bolt the boot guards back on. Easy fix. I didn't have any trouble with the bolt pattern.

Awesome

Here are a couple piccs of my 2012 T4 with the Tatou 4S tracks installed. This thing is a beast! I also just got the Mammoth Designs cab enclosure on. Ready for winter fun!!:good:

That is going to be my next purchase! That looks awesome! If you are going to play in the snow you really need the enclosure!

Tatou's are great

Sorry been skiing too much and not enough on the website. Didn't know anyone responded to my original post...I have the Tatou 4S and do really like them. I use to access back country skiing, mostly N. Idaho. I bought mine from ATVtracks.net. They are out of Spokane and I bleieve sell more tracks than anyone. Multiple brands. Very fair people to deal with. Sometimes they have floor models on sale. Mine cost ~$4k
I had my first problem recently, with the main rear bearing going out...3 miles up into the mountains in deep snow...
My rule is: don't go where you can't get yourself out of!
