Is there a trick to getting the axle nuts off the axle? I tried using my impact, and it wouldn't budge. Are the both right hand thread?

I have to replace my left rear outer boot, just looked at it last week but didn't take apart, waiting on part. When I looked at it I thought it looked just like a regular axle, should be just counter clockwise and off it comes. Sometimes they are pretty tight, try and look at the threads closely, you might be able to see where it starts and which way to go? Good luck.

They're normal threads...just brace it with a bar or something and hit it with the impact...should break loose rather shortly...

I tried that, but it didn't move. I didn't want to keep hammering on it until I knew for sure what threads they were. I will try again in the morning when I get home.

The stock torque is around 196 ft. lbs. I had to brace the hub so it would not spin and use a long breaker bar with the correct socket to break it loose.
