W.E.ROCK Events in coordination with Hammer King Productions and Side X Side Super Jam, brings a UTV Class race to the 2009 King of the Hammers (KOH) race week. The UTV Class race will be a limited entry, and shortened version of the buggy race. Top UTV racers, UTV media representatives and Rock Crawlers (in UTVs) will race across the rugged terrain of Johnson Valley SVRA, known as the Hammers. The race course will include 2 of the infamous Hammers rock crawling trails and miles of desert sections, which will include lakebeds, whoop sections, gravel and rock washes, and deep sand areas.
The KOH UTV race is scheduled for Wednesday, February 25th, 2009; pre-running will start on February 23rd. The main King of the Hammers buggy race will be Friday, February 27th, with a Last Chance Qualifier Thursday, February 26th. The buggy races will include 60 LCQ competitors vying for 10 open positions in the main KOH race which will include 92 start positions.

In its 3rd year, the King of the Hammers race has quickly become an off road Halo event, with teams from all disciplines of off road motor-sports. A large spectator turn out for the race week is expected, with many teams bringing support crews and fans from all across the United States. Off road oriented vendors will be filling the main pit area, displaying their newest and greatest products for the racers and spectators alike.

While Hammer King Productions is the main promoter for this race week, W.E.ROCK is the official sanctioning body for both Hammer King Productions and Side X Side Super Jam. Side X Side Super Jam is a new UTV event promotion company formed by the founders and current operators of W.E.ROCK Events.

Hey man,
Actually working on a plan of attack for a 08 Teryx LE as I type. having only seen the carnage of the buggies, I'm really not sure which way to go on the build. The plan is not just to race it at KOH but a few others (TGC, GRNC, Baja) SO, just like the KOH it's got to be ready for everything, while keeping it relatively stock, as much as possible! Well that is the goal anyways!

I am up at Muzzys right getting the engine installed. We are doing a 2009 840cc with big valves and billet throttle bodies and Muzzys Pro exhaust.

I will post up some pictures when I get home.

Here is an update on my Teryx build.

I got my Teryx back from Muzzys Performance and it is back at MFS getting a lot of work done.

They just got the winch mounted and the aluminum side panels finished. Adding intrusion bars and a bar up top, then it will be ready for the roof.
Beard Seats will be here over the weekend so we can get them mounted. Then pedals and steering can be placed.

Winner winner chicken dinner! That is everything I wanted to do and then some. You guys should win hands down, even more so that you have the HP to go with it. Can't wait to see you guys run it.

Reid didn't give me any units this year so I'll have to let him have this win.

A few more updates.....Down to the wire on this.

Picked up the 1/2" UHMW skid from Factory UTV. Their skids have countersunk mounting holes so the bolt heads are protected. Also grabbed some 3/8" UHMW to make the boat side skids.

Dan over at Motorsports Fabrication Services has done an incredible job with the aluminum work. Jeff should finish up with the wiring today.

Wrap is being done by Palmer Signs in Roseville. Should be all done on Monday. Monster Energy Kawasaki Racing signed up as a sponsor. Roof is going to look like this:
