Warning: Fire caused by exhaust

We had a fire on our Teryx a month or so ago during a race.

We are not 100% sure which one happened but either the rubber engine shroud that is on the 09 and later engines or the CVT exhaust got in contact with the exhaust.

We are in the final stages of repairing the damage and will be racing it again this coming weekend end but with some changes.

The rubber shroud is gone and we are anchoring the CVT exhaust with some wire ties to keep it from turning.

Do you mean those rubber pieces that are on top side of engine, I suppose they are there to stop dust from entering cab??

Had the same thing happen with my 08....the rubber at the front, came in contact with the exhaust. A lot of smoke, but no real damage. I routinely have burning leaves in the bottom as well. The Teryx simply has a design issue in this area. How to change it...dunno.
